Installation Instructions for Microsoft Exchange 2007

The steps outlined below will assist you in installing an SSL certificate on a Microsoft Exchange 2007 server. If you have not yet generated your certificate and finished the validation process, refer to our CSR Generation Instructions before proceeding with the instructions below.

Installation Instructions for Microsoft Exchange 2007:

 Step 1: Install the SSL Certificate
  1. Download the SSL certificate and any associated intermediate certificates provided by the CA.
  2. Open the Microsoft Exchange Management Console.
  3. Navigate to the Server Configuration > Certificates.
  4. Click on the "New Exchange Certificate" button in the action pane.
  5. Follow the instructions in the wizard to import your SSL certificate, including browsing for and selecting the certificate file, and then select the services you wish to secure.
  6. Click on the "Complete" button to finish the wizard.
Step 2: Configure Exchange Services to Use the SSL Certificate
  1. Open the Microsoft Exchange Management Console.
  2. Navigate to the Server Configuration > Client Access.
  3. Right-click on the server you want to configure and select "Properties"
  4. In the properties window, select the "SSL" tab and select the SSL certificate that you just installed.
  5. Click on the "Apply" button to save your changes.
Step 3: Test the SSL Configuration
  1. Open a web browser and navigate to the URL of your Exchange server.
  2. Check that the connection is secure and that the SSL certificate is valid and issued by a trusted CA.
